These are tracks I recorded way back in 1998 and 2000 on a Tascam 4-track cassette mixer using a Casio keyboard and Ensoniq Mirage synth. They were recorded specifically for my wife and given to her as Christmas gifts. The sound quality is lacking due to transferring a cassette copy to digital.

I suppose I was in a much more "New Age" mindset musically, and it's much less abstract than my current output. Track 1 is a traditional German carol from the 16th century. Track 2 is an original waltz written for my wife. Track 3 is a traditional English carol from the 16th century. Track 4 is another original tune.

Nonestica (aka the Continent of Imagination) is the continent that contains the Land of Oz. It is also my second project (after Fugue in Sea) that balances themes of wonder and melancholy; feelings that have dominated within me for the past 12 years due to my wife’s brain cancer diagnosis and miraculous survival.
